LEGAL RESEARCHER (Closing date 4 July 2020)

Essential Requirements:
  • LLB/ Jurisprudence Law Degree (Malaysia/ UK/ Australia).
  • Specific experience in finance related law, company law, corportae libility and constitutional and rights based matters.
  • At least 3 years experience in legal practice.
  • Familiar with online searches.
  • IT compliant.


Job Scope:
  • To lead legal research and analysis for C4 Center on contemporary matters linked to good governance, accountability and anti-corruption laws.
  • These include monitoring of Sec 17A of the MACC Act on Corporate Liability, the MACC Act 2009 itself for reforms, the Companies Act, and several other laws such as the Witness Protection Act, Whistleblower Protection Act, and the need for procurement and laws on ensuring better public service delivery.
  • To research further on other related public institutions including the securities commission, competition commission and regional and UN systems.
  • To write legal analysis, provide content for C4 Center to lead conversations and debate on advocacy and campaign material related to the above themes and other contemporary subjects.
  • To take instructions from the Executive Director and Prgramme Manager on other work related matters.

Essential Requirements:
  • At least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Design or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and other design apps will be an added advantage.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and adaptable.


Job Scope:
  • Produce corporate and short topical videos.
  • Video advocacy; using visual media as a strategic tool to engage people to create change. Requires setting specific objectives, identifying target audience and developing a strategic plan for production and distribution to ensure the video has impact.
  • To take instructions from Programme Manager in consultation with the Executive Director and be a part of the Communications & Social Media team.
